Security Film
This works well with windows AND glass in doors.
Security Film (We ONLY use 8-14 mil thickness- nothing less)
Window film is basically a self-adhesive polyester film that is applied to the interior surface of glass. It’s used as a “retrofit” for existing glass on homes and commercial buildings in order to upgrade safety.
While glass windows provide a functional benefit by opening up the outside world, they are also susceptible to various types of damage and breakage – whether by accident, natural hazard or criminal act. Security films offer added protection by holding glass together when facing a variety of hazardous situations:
Accidental Damage Protection- Many glass window accidents occur in the home every year; a stray baseball hits an unintended target, a lawnmower propels a rock. The installation of the proper safety film can keep these minor accidents from becoming a medical emergency.
Human Threat Protection- Unfortunately, crime and vandalism are a part of our everyday life. Personal safety and property are exposed to the expanding levels of risk associated with home invasions and other more dangerous illegal acts. Security films provide a much-needed deterrent to vandals and thieves by holding glass panes in place preventing easy entry.
All of our security film installations are reinforced with High Impact Attachment Tape.
After much research, we discovered that even after having security film installed, there is a greater possibility of the glass separating from the frame in the event of impact. Now that we attach the security film with High Impact Attachment Tape, detachment is less likely to occur.
- Unlike the attachment tape that was sold years ago, the tape we use is virtually invisible and will not peel, crack, yellow, or fade in years to come.
- It not only has polyurethane tape 14 millimeters thick, but it also has an adhesive with a thickness of 3 millimeters.
- It has excellent elongation and tear resistant properties.
- It is split down the middle, from beginning to end, for that perfectly balanced installation.
- This specially designed adhesive has superior ultraviolet absorbing properties for longevity.
No security film installation is complete without High Impact Attachment Tape!

Keyed Window Locks
The common problem with sash window locks is that the latch is not locked in place, therefore, burglars can pry the window open by removing the screen and unlatching the lock from the outside. This window lock prevents that in two ways. One, the latch is protected by the metal on both ends. Two, the latch is locked in place by the safety pin. That is why we recommend this window lock for all sash windows.
For service calls to install locks only, there is a trip charge of $25.
